All ages! We have activities and reading challenges appropriate for babies to adults, for individuals to families and caregiver groups

Summer-long activities to promote curiosity and building dreams through reading, imagination, creativity, exploration, discovery, and more!

Poudre River Public Library District locations: Old Town Library, 201 Peterson St.; Council Tree Library, 2733 Council Tree Ave., #200; Harmony Library, 4616 S. Shields St. 

WHEN:
Signup begins May 22 for all programs and continues through August 20.

HOW:
Online registration from home or on one of the library computers: www.PoudreLibraries.org/srp.  In-person sign up at any of the three library locations.

The first 5,000 people who stop in one of the libraries after signing up for summer reading will receive a free gift!

 

FUN:
Reading Milestones  

Keep track of reading time in your online account or in the printed reading log. Complete 10 hours of reading, then pick up your prize (while supplies last) in the library through August 20.

Once you’ve finished 10 hours…keep reading! Reach milestone reading levels of 25, 50, 75, or 100 hours and help build a Building Dreams Community Tower of pom-poms at the libraries! Let’s build to the sky!

Readers who reach 100+ hours of summer reading (and babies and toddlers with 25+ hours of reading) by August 20 will be invited to a special Power Readers’ Club event at the end of summer. All hours must be submitted by August 20 so event details can be mailed to Power Readers prior to the event.

 

STREAM Activities (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, Math)

Individuals who do one activity in each STREAM category on the reading log will be entered up to six times in a special drawing for prizes at the end of the summer. Activity suggestions are listed in the reading logs and in individual and family online summer reading accounts. 

STREAM stickers for the reading log will be available at the library; online users may record their activities in their summer reading accounts to receive online certificates.

All ages! We have activities and reading challenges appropriate for babies to adults, for individuals to families and caregiver groups

WHAT:
Summer-long activities to promote curiosity and building dreams through reading, imagination, creativity, exploration, discovery, and more!

WHERE:
Poudre River Public Library District locations: Old Town Library, 201 Peterson St.; Council Tree Library, 2733 Council Tree Ave., #200; Harmony Library, 4616 S. Shields St. 

WHEN:
Signup begins May 22 for all programs and continues through August 20.

FCCRSNC Birthday Party

It's time to celebrate! FCCRSNC will mark its 11th birthday by throwing a huge birthday bash from 11 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 4, in our facility's parking lot.

There will be lots of fun activities!

    • Crazy Cat Lady Pageant: It returns! We're seeking imaginative cat lovers to strut their craziest costume inventions portraying their interpretation of a crazy cat lady, or gentleman. For men, women, and kids alike! Click for details and to enter!
    • No-Flea Market: Come shop the wide variety of wares and goodies we've collected from our generous supporters. Donations accepted through May 26. Please read our Donation Guidelines.

    • Live Music: Performing again this year will be husband-wife duo Fall River Road with the folksy sound of their acoustic guitar, violin, ukulele and vocals.
  • Food Truck on site: The Silver Seed will be joining us again, selling their fresh farm-to-table fare and donating a portion of proceeds to us!
  • Games & Fun: Enjoy the ever-popular "Litter Box Scoop" game as well as the Putt-Putt Challenge and "Feed the Kitty" bean bag toss.
  • Facility Tour: Take a guided tour behind the scenes. NEW since last year is our fully renovated spay/neuter clinic in Unit 3!
  • Smitten With Kittens Membership Drive: We have a goal of adding 52 new members over the course of this year. Join this exclusive club of cat lovers and help us secure the future for many more kitties to come.
  • Birthday Presents: We would never turn down gifts from our Wish List, such as cleaning supplies for our shelter and clinic, OR give us an EARLY present by donating to our Saving Pets Challenge!

Community Vehicles Day @ Library Park
